WYSIWYG editor ATAG1.0 compatible?

I am searching for a WYSIWYG editor, which is build using the ATAG standards in mind.
Does any of you know an editor who complies to these standards?

Accessible WYSIWYG

From what I've read XStandard might be the best one - http://drupal.org/project/xstandard

I haven't done any testing on this though.

XStandard WYSIWYG is supposedly an ATAG-compliant editor since version 1.7 (around 2006).

From what I had read about XStandard in the last few years, my understanding is it appears highly accessible and may well meet the W3C ATAG guidelines although I have never used it nor tested it for accessibility.

Below are the recommended links that will help you get started in learning more about XStandard.

NOTE: Is anyone else having trouble with Mollom's CAPTCHA on Drupal Groups?

Also possible to check content validation?

BarisW's picture

Hi guys, thanks for all the input!

Do you also know of any programs who are capable of checking if the content passes validation?
For example, does XStandard notifies the user when they use H1 and H3 tags without having a H2 in between? Or when they forgot to enter an Alt text on an image?

Kind regards, Baris Wanschers

Perhaps this is will answer your question(s)...?

Repeating what m.gifford wrote, there is already a Drupal's XStandard WYSIWYG Editor module, which is developed by Henrik Sjökvist. You may want to get in touch with him in regarding to XStandard with any questions you may have.

Worth Looking at Content Filters Too

mgifford's picture

I haven't seen anything to disable H1 in any WYSIWYG editor, but with D7 I can't see any reason why anyone should be allowed to use an H1 tag in the body of a node.

That being said, ensuring that there is a proper order of headers is a bit trickier. I think that one of these filters could possibly be extended to do this:
http://drupal.org/project/htmlpurifier
http://drupal.org/project/htmLawed

However, I don't know anyone who has attempted this yet.
