Seeking advanced drupal coder to complete Classified , community , business pages site | Netco
Hello,
Please have a look at what we have so far.
http://live.koots.ca/ , don't type www.... this will take you to a primitive version of the site we continue to host for the a couple resources.
The homepage isn't polished, if searching around you will find pages yet to be created. The core functionality and framework is in place leaving a lot of 'little items' and a few larger tasks to be completed. If you check the posting pages click general item as we have completed the buy and sell. The posting pages are close to complete. We finished the buy and sell 'general items' section recently leaving only category submissions and the remaining details pages to complete. Then putting the largest portion of work behind us. The last phase of work is to finish off the listing and details pages (partially complete) for all sections, misc pages, responders, email and merchant account, polishing, etc... You can also view the partially completed details page here

Koots.ca is the smallest of our site's if considered for population density of locations. It is just the opening site and primarily created to clone our remaining site's. Cloning the site's below should be a quick process. Most colors will remain the same, header, logo, categories and text references will be changes.
The site's
Parenttrade.ca in Canada and .co.nz in New Zealand are two niche site for parents to buy and sell kids stuff, find related business's, and community info in each major city across each country. An all inclusive parenting resource and untapped.
Usednewzealand.co.nz a more generalized site set to compete with NZ's giant trading site trademe.co.nz. Recently purchased for $700 mill in a country of 5 million you can imagine the internet usage rates are high. Trade me has an ebay approach in generating money, taking a percentage, charging for every listing addition, etc.. Our approach is to offer free listing for general items and charge for more high profile listings along with features positions throughout the site. We also have various ad positions from facebook style display ads the banners. Usednz differs in that we offer a business directory in each location for any general business to showcase for an annual fee along with free community listings. We also have all the used domains across the country. Usedwellington, auckland, christchurch.co.nz etc... in which the header will display when the user is in the location of choice within the usednz framework.
Sportjunkies.co.nz a niche outdoors/sports site much like the parenting site but for sports minded people in New Zealand. When living in the country we had an overwhelming response to this niche site. Kiwis are very outdoorsy and sports minded individuals. We are sure this site will take off!
Koots.ca is a small localized site within the kootenays of British Columbia canada. More focus will be towards the business directory and tourism.
All the above site's generate income in the same methods as mentioned for Usednewzealand.co.nz. Future income generators will include ebay style stores and various listing options.
Involvement
The previous developer could not commit to an equity stake after completing the site to date. We have paid him for his work and moved on. After completing a large portion of the work required he didn't possess or understand that he was a part of the business, or to see the future financial benefits could far exceed what he would generate working from contract to contract.
The end result will be the most aesthetic functional classified site's to come out of drupal. The site's have been developed aesthetically to grow into a niche market along with mainstream 'used newzealand'. To attract attention and hold the user base leaving them returning time after time. We are looking for someone to be involved in an 8% stake of what all the site's generate after expenses. The stake would include the remaining development ( & pay) ongoing maintenance and development as well as reflect the payment for the final phase or work. We will have to discuss the remaining work in depth and talk about money for the final portion of work.
You will be able to look at the site and carry out any of the remaining work required, from the auto scrolling slideshow displays, google maps integration ( partially complete) , attention to detail when designing from the remaining screenshots, optimizing the site for high search engine rankings and listings optimized etc...
The developer involved will be able to create pages from screenshots / markups. Follow direction as is expected. Complete the remaining portion of work in a timely manner and be able to accurately predict time requirements for portions of work. You will be able to look at the site and carry out any of the remaining work required, from the auto scrolling slideshow displays, google maps integration ( partially complete) , attention to detail when designing from the remaining screenshots, optimizing the site for high search engine rankings and listings optimized etc...
Our goal is to be live with parenttrade.ca cloned from koots.ca for June 24th and the remainder of the summer to market to parents in Canadian cities. The remaining site's will be rolled out from there onward.
This project won't appeal to a developer without a long term vision or commitment. An equity stake is required primarily for the need to have someone involved for future site maintenance and added functionality. The final portion of work and payout will have to be determined by both parties but bare in mind the stake will reflect a reduction in your average pay. A 'work for hire' contract will be necessary for all future work. We will also require as you would a contract stating future requirements and defining the involvement with an equity stake. If you are right for the job and someone that we see ourselves working with long term we will also offer a percentage of a buyout. The potential for a commercial website such as ours to be noticed in New Zealand should be generate the traffic required is high. Australian corporations are constantly eyeing up successful online business's in the country. We have done our research and are focused on selling one or more of our site's within five years.
The developer will share our vision and be able to look towards a successful future. This opportunity will not be for you if you only work from contract to contract without considering involvement in your projects.
The stake offered is generous considering it is the same percentage that was offered to the previous developer having built the site from nothing. Taking over at this stage we would estimate one-third of the work remains to launch.
We believe there is someone out there that is ideally suited for this venture.
We look forward to talking with you further.
thank you
Scott & Dave
