This is our direct-client opening for a 3-4 month contract-to-hire for a Drupal Developer located in Leesburg, VA (Can be telecommute). The salary upon conversion will be six figures, plus an attractive benefits package.
The successful candidate will work alongside our online production team to support client project teams who are creating websites, web applications and mobile applications using Drupal and a variety of web-based tools. The work can often be fast-paced and challenging so experience and motivation are essential as are really good people skills and the ability to work independently and effectively with diverse groups of technical and non-technical people (clients, consultants, web designers, other contractors and vendors, internal company groups).
Required Qualifications
At a minimum, the following qualifications are required:
A BS degree (preferably in a related discipline such as Computer Science)
7 years web development work experience, including:
4 years PHP development
2 years custom Drupal development
1 year Drupal WCMS implementation
Have developed custom Drupal modules & themes (show us what you’ve done)
Be very good at:
Using templates to theme components
Translating requirements/specifications into quality web apps
Maintaining and administering Drupal modules and sites
Have experience with the following technologies and platforms:
SQL and relational databases generally, MySQL specifically
GNU/Linux
Apache Web Server
JavaScript and major JavaScript libraries
Hand-coding HTML and tableless CSS
XML/XHTML
Have a high level of understanding of the following:
Cross browser compatibility issues and debugging
Agile development methodologies
System life-cycle stages and activities
Information system security requirements
Industry/W3C standards for the web & web app development
