Front-End Web Designer/Developer This position calls for a technologically proficient front-end web designer/developer to join the Office of Marketing and Communications. Candidates should possess: Strong graphic design background with a solid understanding of grid systems demonstrated control of typography conservative or minimalist design portfolio The primary responsibilities of this role include: Drupal theming and page template creation Development of custom Facebook pages and apps The ability to code to design Custom YouTube page development Drupal module modification Drupal site migration and optimization Creating mobile style sheets JQuery enhancements to user interfaces Updating and patching all CMS sites (including Fatwire and Wordpress) Secondary duties include Create and/or update landing pages Create and/or update html emails Shoot and edit videos and help out as events as needed Other Duties as assigned. This position requires a demonstrated ability to stay current with web standards and best practices. We work in a fast-paced, fun, and collaborative educational environment servicing many departments concurrently where customer service is a top priority. We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about communication on the web and cares about user experience. Development of Drupal 6 & 7 sites, Module development, exposure to Drush, Facebook app development, Social media API integration, some work with Wordpress. The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in HTML 5, CSS 3, adaptive/responsive layouts; the ability to manipulate existing PHP code; experience with JQuery or equivalent .js libraries; some experience with web service APIs; and some experience with JSON. This position also requires some familiarity with a LAMP configuration and/or other equivalent web server configurations.
