Description:

The Application Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining front end and backend code for web sites, including but not limited to PHP-based sites and CMS’es (Content Management Systems) built using Drupal and Wordpress Blogs. This programmer also specializes in client-side technologies, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Principal Functions:

  • Will be fluent in PHP and will work on LAMP projects, including Developing Drupal 6 modules/themes and maintaining Wordpress blogs

  • Will be responsible for developing template HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for new functionality

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with LAMP technologies (PHP, Drupal, Wordpress)

  • Knowledge of databases and SQL

  • Experience developing standard-compliant XHTML and CSS

  • Familiarity with CSS frameworks helpful

  • Use of JavaScript libraries such as JQuery for interactive DHTML and AJAX scripting

  • Knowledge of XSLT and Portlet concepts helpful
