SocialWorkout.com is a new site, part blog, and part web community, focused on all things urban health and fitness. We launched in March, have drawn a crowd of loyal users and advertisers, and we're building a full time product team now. Founder Oliver Ryan also co-founded ApartmentTherapy.com, one of top interior design destinations on the web.

We're looking to hire two positions: A full time engineer, and a full time web designer/themer. The site is built on Drupal 6, and we expect to stay with that for the foreseeable future, though (scandal) we've been hearing alot about Python and Google App Engine recently. We'd like to start with a full time contract arrangement, with an eye towards permanent salaried position if all goes well. We're based in downtown in Manhattan, and would prefer someone local, though some amount of telecommuting is expected. Pay is competitive, tech challenge rich, and quality of "office" live above average, according to us.
