HTML/CSS Developer (Drupal Themer) | World Bank Institute
JOB DESCRIPTION
World Bank Institute is looking for a motivated individual with expertise in converting web page designs (mockups) in to HTML templates using CSS. Most of the assignment will be to create “themes” for Drupal based sites, which require solid CSS and HTML skills. Selected candidates will work in a dynamic team environment, on variety of projects, ranging from simple sites to complex collaborative sites. The compensation will be very competitive, based on qualifications.
Important note –
The assignment is based in Washington, DC (USA). So only those who are in the DC area or are willing to relocate to DC area should apply. This assignment does not allow remote work arrangements.
This is a direct hire assignment i.e. the individual will be directly hired by World Bank Institute as a consultant (no middle company involved). Therefore vendors or contractors should not apply.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. At least 2 years of relevant experience in HTML/CSS development.
2. Solid understanding of CSS and HTML.
3. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field desirable but not a must.
4. Basic understanding of PHP or similar programming language is required.
5. Familiarity with JavaScript, AJAX, and web2.0 type of sites and functionality.
6. Possess good oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
7. Previous experience with World Bank a plus.
DURATION
This is a consultant position. The duration of the assignment could range from 60-150 days, with a possibility for longer term assignments in future. The start date will be around mid July 2009, so apply now!
