Visual Designer | Club Real Estate

Our social networking start-up needs a visual designer (preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area) on a part-time consulting basis to design the visual elements of our site (both the frontpage and secondary pages) before it is launched. We are also looking for this designer to design the logo and some other elements.

We have an excellent front-end developer already involved, so our biggest need at this time is purely visual design (although some front-end development skills could be useful). We are looking for a talented designer with the following skillset:
-Proficient with PhotoShop and other Adobe creative tools
-Solid Website design experience with at least 3 referenceable designs (preferably in Drupal). We are looking for clean, professional designs in the Web 2.0 space. Some interesting examples include buzz.yahoo.com, tripit.com, and jobnob.com.
-Solid logo design experience with at least 3 referenceable designs
-Good eye for spotting usability issues
-Good interpersonal/ listening skills

Unfortunately, we have a tight budget to see us through the rest of the launch, and can only afford about $50/ hour (less for someone outside the Bay Area). We may be able to pay more if i) you are a total rockstar; or ii) you can work quickly, as this project is very well-defined. There will likely be additional future work, if the designer is interested.
