Not allowed Our Manhattan client is a leading independent interactive agency specializing in website design, development and search & online advertising for Fortune 500 and mid-sized companies.
This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located in New York City. Locals preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
Architect and lead development of a highly innovative and scalable web-based content and asset management application
Required Skills & Background:
- 4-6 years of PHP system architecture and development
- OO development within the LAMP stack
- MySQL database design and integration
- HTML, JavaScript frameworks (jQuery a plus), CSS and AJAX
- Source control (SVN)
- Linux operating system
- Caching scenarios (memcached a plus)
- Experience creating and running unit tests
- Familiarity with open source content management systems a plus (such as Drupal and Joomla)
- Experience leading a team of developers
- Must be an effective communicator, highly-motivated and detail-oriented
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and be a valuable contributor in an interactive team environment
