Every 3rd Monday of the month we meet at The Eagle in North Laine (125 Gloucester Road, Brighton, BN1 4AF) to drink beer and talk Drupal - all are welcome - don't do Drupal alone!
It's not long until our BAD Ass Weekender on 14/15/16 September during the Brighton Digital Festival.
There'll be both free and low-cost training on the Friday, then following our BADCampUK format we'll have sessions on the Saturday then barcamp-style on Sunday.
The current status is NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE, apart from submitting the event to the digital festival as their deadline was a couple of days ago, if we'd missed out on that then we miss out on all the free marketing support we'll get from them.
See you Monday - if you think you're coming along do please register here so we can keep an eye out for you!

Hi, Would love to meet up
Hi,
Would love to meet up with the local Drupal community but I can rarely make Mondays unfortunately..
Please keep posting the details of things to the group so I can keep track and hopefully make it to something sometime.. :)
Fridays?
Last Friday of the month is becoming regular for Drupal coworking days. Last month I was in Portland for the DA Director event and this month it's my 40th birthday so I'll be in the pub, not an office :D - although that's not stopping anyone else organising it or any other meetup if the current ones don't cover what you want or when you want - I think we could do with at least 2 more meetups per month inc one for end-users - ideas welcome!
Friday's could work.. :) I am

I am too new to the community to be jumping in to organise anything.. Maybe once I get an idea what the meet up's are all about..
what pub are you going to?

I am out for dinner tonight but if you are still around later ill join in.
@wipeout_dude: pub meet up's are easy just follow the 3 steps:
1) click the create event at the top of the page and fill in the details
2) show up on time
3) drink beer and talk drupal

@guy_schneerson - Haha.. Yes, that is the easy part.. Its when you get there and no-one else does so you end up talking to yourself all evening.. :)
Somebody mention more beer?
That's what I thought nearly 4 years ago when I posted our first meet, now look at how BAD Ass it is ;)
Try it, you might be surprised. Regularity is key, whatever else is up to you - pub or elsewhere, daytime nighttime weekend, your choice... people will pop up!
I am betting there will be a worthing group soon too.
Sounds good.. Would it be
Sounds good..
Would it be stepping on anyone's toes if I posted something to get a feel for the interest in a meet up in the Haywards Heath area??
Completely the opposite!
The more the merrier! Try to publicise it in as many places as you can - select up to 4 groups when you post the event for a start - brighton, uk, london, are all good. Also any relevant groups like linkedin, lanyrd, twitter, etc.
Finally, stand at the station in a big druplicon outfit and an a-board to attract passing train passengers :D
Seriously, would be fantastic to have more local groups set up, let us know if you need any help...
Awesome.. I'll give it a punt
Awesome.. I'll give it a punt in the groups you mentioned and see how many people are interested in a Mid-Sussex Meet.. :)
Mid sussex
Hey - I live in Hassocks and I'd be interested in a mid-Sussex meet if its not a Monday , as I can't make the Brighton ones anymore because of that - although some of the other miggle team get down from time to time. Alick
