New start-up subsidiary of a respected US software company based in the Metro-DC area has immediate openings for experienced Drupal developers at the Baner, Pune office.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Drupal experience with proficiency in:
- Custom module development, key contributed modules and the core API, CCK, Views
- PHP, ideally within a GNU/Linux, Apache, MySQL environment
- SQL, relational databases and MySQL and skill with tools like phpMyAdmin and the mysql CLI
- JavaScript and familiarity with AJAX and JQuery
- Maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites
In addition, the following experience is preferred:
- Hand-coding HTML and tableless CSS
- Sound knowledge of using templates to theme components
- Experience integrating free software and third party applications into existing systems
The ideal candidate will also have:
- The ability to work within existing infrastructures
- The ability to successfully work as part of a team, understanding problems from another team member’s perspective, and, when necessary, go above and beyond the job description to work towards a broader team goal
- Independence, willingness to learn and problem-solving skills
- The ability to handle a face-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to deliver on time and on budget
Additional Assets:
- Involvement in and contributions to the Drupal community
- Familiarity with revision control systems such as Subversion
- Experience enhancing the performance of high-traffic sites
