Web Application Analyst (Drupal) | The Longsight Group

The Longsight Group has an immediate opening for a person with strong technical, analytical and communication skills to join our team in supporting open source applications for non-profits and higher education. The Longsight Group provides hosting, customization, integration, and support for carefully-selected open source applications in the higher-ed and non-profit space.

We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively on projects in Longsight’s three technology areas: portals, learning management systems, and digital repositories. Do you enjoy designing and coding innovative applications? Are you successful in working with clients on project design, training and support? Required credentials for this position are:
· proven track record of Drupal development including module development, basic theming, and integration with third-party applications
· experience with the LAMP stack and open source projects
· excellent communication skills – both oral and written
· a bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution

Desired credentials for the position are:

· familiarity with Java and the Tomcat application server
· MySQL tuning and optimization skills; database replication architecture
· basic theming and design skills
· effective teaching skills in both online and face-to-face settings
· an understanding of the business of higher education

You will earn a competitive salary ($45-65k/yr) plus retirement and health benefits. This is an initial three-month appointment with the possibility for a permanent, salaried appointment. Work location including remote office is negotiable.
