Backend Web Developer with Drupal Skills
1185 Design, an award-winning web and print Design Agency in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a Backend Web Developer. The candidate will be an integral part of a small team of programmers in a dynamic multimedia group. A successful candidate is one who thrives under pressure and works effectively in a fast paced design agency, has disciplined experience in the internet industry, preferably with agency experience; and the ability to simultaneously prioritize multiple projects including client expectations and schedules.

Requirements:

1. LAMP Environment experience

   • Expertise in PHP/MySQL, SQL, Drupal, JavaScript, (AJAX, JSON, Frameworks as
     MooTools, JQuery,…), HTML, DHTML
   • An understanding of various backend technologies

2. Expertise developing Drupal 6 custom themes and module development

3. Able to create from scratch PHP/MySQL Content Management Systems

4. Extensive Experience developing custom and dynamic multimedia websites utilizing video, rich
   media (video/audio, etc.), animation; experience, including at least 3 years working with
   complex Web 2.0 products

5. Knowledge of web standards and implementation of SEO and usability principles; experience
   writing W3C-compliant XHTML

6. Experience providing accurate estimation time for new project proposals

Lastly, a successful candidate will have experience working with Photoshop, Word and Excel, strong personal organization and time management skills and strict attention to detail. As part of a development team and a larger design team, a strong candidate will have the ability to envision creative ways to leverage online ideas and technologies, and not only function effectively but also thrive under pressure in a fast paced environment.
