- Drupal Dojo - Create a more functional Drupal Dojo website
- Drupal Kata - Create a platform for the Drupal Kata learning program
- Camp and Conference site - Create a Drupal installation profile (and possibly a custom theme or two) based on the code contributed by the DrupalCampLA team.
- Open Media Project - The primary goal of this Knight sponsored project is to leverage Drupal to give local communities more control over their public access channel.
- Radio Engage - The primary goal of this Knight sponsored project is to create a turnkey web site for radio news organizations. This content management and publishing system will address the needs of radio news sites, such as creating and archiving audio and text, producing podcasts and playlists and streaming live audio and video.
- Music distribution for Drupal - Create a Drupal distribution tailored to the needs of musicians, record labels, and related communities.
- Video sharing site - Update the FilmForge distribution which is tailored to the needs of videomaking communities.

Guidelines and documentation
These tasks generally pertain to the creation and management of the Drupal learning programs:
- Finalize Proposal for the Drupal Open Learning Initiative
- Finalize Sponsorship Packages for the Drupal Open Learning Initiative
- Create a curriculum and complete set of training materials
- Identify program sponsors and stakeholders - it's critical to determine who will value this program, their expectations, what is important to them, and define how they'll benefit.
- Create a framework for a sustainable program - an organization, leadership, decision making, and incentive structure will ensure program has the resources to make it stable and sustainable.
- Establish program goals, guidelines, and policies
- Define program roles, responsibilities, and benefits
- Establish process for open collaborative development
- Create guidelines on how to scope out projects and tasks
