The American Association of Woodturners (a nonprofit of more than 14,000 members worldwide) is accepting proposals to design and develop the Association's website and related database backend. This is a concept-to-completion production. Although the current website has served the AAW well for more than 10 years, its web presence is outdated, is inconsistent in appearance, and requires improvements in site architecture, technology, standards compliance, and responsive design. This is an opportunity to reengineer the site to better reflect the mission of the AAW and introduce new features and new content for members. When complete, this investment will support virtually all of its membership communications and strategic priorities, including new content that directly supports its education and training mission and strengthens working relationships with its local chapters. The goal is to select the website developer by November and begin production in early 2013.
