I. Job Summary:

Sony Music is looking for an experienced, full-time, on site (no telecommuting) Website Administrator (official title is Analyst, Online Content and Community). The Analyst, Online Content and Community functions as a website administrator/producer, participating in ongoing projects as well as new site launches. We have a network of over 100 artist websites and portals running on the Drupal CMS/Framework.

The Sony offices are in midtown Manhattan. The company offers competitive

II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Analyst’s responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Ongoing communication with label representatives and help in trafficking requests for changes, new features, bugs, etc.
  • Day-to-day technical implementation of web offerings and community moderation for leading music web properties.
  • Work with various content management systems to prep, organize and publish video, photos, user submissions, etc.
  • Participate in ongoing QA efforts, troubleshooting and ticketing issues
  • Help manage site launches and day to day upkeep and admin of existing sites.
  • Coordinate with other members of the team to make sure content is ready for site launches.

III. Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be technically savvy and proficient in PhotoShop and basic HTML (some CSS a plus).
  • Experience using a CMS (preferrably Drupal) and familiarity with graphics manipulation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in both Mac and PC environments.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain deadlines.
  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • 2 years of experience recommended.
  • Ability to work quickly and without supervision
  • Enjoy making lists and organizing information, specifically related to music and artists.
  • Interest in New Media, Online industry
  • Familiarity with online social networks/trends
  • Experience in high volume customer service environments a plus
  • Able to navigate technical customer service conversations with ease and empathy
