Presentation: WYSIWYG with Inline Images

I have been using this recipe for WYSIWYG for a while and decided to do a a presentation on it. Then I remembered that someone had done a session on it at Drupal Camp LA so I am pretty much qouting Jason Chinn’s presentation there.

• Review options, download TinyMCE

• Refresh WYSIWYG

• Add new role for user group that will use the WYSIWYG, for example ‘editor’

• View permissions and enable new role to add and edit the page content type.

• Create new user to test the role and permissions.

• Switch browser and authenticate as that user.

• Add input format WYSIWYG (Enable Image Resize Filter and WYSIWYG Filter)

• Configure wysiwyg format - <p> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <img>

• Configure WYSIWYG with buttons Bold, Lists, Link, unlink, Source code, Character map, HTML block format, Font style, Fullscreen, Paste from Word

• View wysiwyg.css

• Add css

• Add CSS settings to Tiny: Image Right=image-right Image Left=image-left

• Save tiny config

• Configure Better formats (Set default for editor role to wysiwyg and drag to the top of the list.)

• Create page

• Flip to editor, edit page review new options

• image cache horizontal 180 tall, vertical 200 wide

• add file field, edit settings

• flip to editor, add images inline.

• You're Done
