Edit-in-place (all the things)
Kevin has been working on a prototyping on a unified approach for edit in place: http://invis.io/7H9SAI8N . Not in the issue queue yet, but a very promising concept, have a look!
Usability gate
Updated the usability gate guidelines with a note about tagging any issue that touches the user interface with 'usability' so that UX folk can find them and review. Use 'needs usability review' for when progess is stalled on making a design decision. Use the first libarally, the latter only when really necessary.
Spark team is off the blocks & layouts issues
Not enough progress on the API parts to dedicate further resources to it. Anybody wanting to jump in still welcome, there's quite some ground work already done, we'll help you get up to speed.

http://drupal.org/node/1846970 has a long list of follow-up issues for toolbar. A bit too much it seems. yoroy will prune the list a bit from a UX perspective
Multilingual usability test results
