This position will be 5 days/week in the office. Telecommute not allowed.

Responsibilities:

Work with team to create Drupal web applications
Custom module development
Manage and mentor junior developer teams
Test, maintain and troubleshoot existing client sites
Contribute ideas and efforts toward projects and work as part of a team to find solutions to various problems (i.e. development platforms, documentation, etc.)

Qualifications:

A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field
Five years of full time Drupal programming experience (samples of enterprise-level applications are required)
Independence, willingness to teach, and to learn, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges
Ability to communicate and work well with others
Ability to deliver on time and on budget

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Drupal, including custom module development, key contributed modules and the core API
Comfort/Proficiency in PHP, ideally within a LAMP stack
Proficiency in SQL, relational databases and MySQL; skill with tools like php MyAdmin and the mysql CLI
Proficiency in JavaScript and familiar with major JavaScript libraries
Proficiency in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites
Proficiency in hand-coding HTML and CSS
Thorough understanding and proven implementation of W3C Web Standards
Ability to work within existing infrastructures
Ability to work as part of a team, understanding problems from another team member's perspective, and, when necessary, go above and beyond the job description to work towards a broader team goal

Ideal Skills:

Some experience in Unix / Linux administration
Experience integrating open source and third party applications into existing systems

Additional Assets:

Involvement in and contributions to the Drupal community
Knowledge of version control with Git. Specifically, awareness of branching and merging, resolving merge conflicts, applying patches, creating patches, and working with multiple remote repositories in order to collaborate with others.
Experience enhancing the performance of high-traffic sites
Experience with AJAX or jQuery
Experience with Agile development methodologies

Compensation:

This position starts at $250,000/year, and only goes up for the right individual with the right mix of hands-on development and leadership experience.
Rates are VERY competitive and are based on education, experience and abilities.
Full benefits including holiday, vacation, health insurance, 401k, etc., after 90 days
