One of the big challenges the Drupal ecosystem has is the inconsistency in quality of site implementation. This inconsistency impacts Drupal adoption, Drupal ROI, Drupal shop maintenance, hosting providers, and impacts the effectiveness of Drupal site implementers.
In order to better explain to customers, partners, and technical staff Kieran Lal and Hernâni Borges de Freitas
from Acquia, reviewed 30 Acquia customer site audits and categorized and prioritized the best practices recommended to our customers. The goal of this session is to help educate the Drupal community about what to look for in their sites development.
These categories include: core, contrib modules, content architecture, content administration, display architecture, custom code, performance, development, infrastructure, and profiling. We will discuss anonymized examples and discuss the prioritization.
This is a continuation of Hernani’s blog post series 1, 2 and presentation.
The 2013 SFDUG series and beer is hosted by PANTHEON
