On behalf of Adam Barney:

We're gearing up for the 3rd annual Nebraska Code Camp on March 15-16, 2013. If you've presented at one of our events in the past, you know what an amazing event this is, and how engaged our local developer community is! Last year, our second event had almost twice as many attendees as year 1 - over 350! This year, we're expecting another great turnout, and we're planning to have the best Nebraska Code Camp yet.

This year, we're adding a full day of hands-on workshops on the Friday before the typical code camp schedule of breakout sessions and keynote address. These will be either 4 or 8 hour deep-dive workshops. On Saturday, we'll have our keynote address delivered by Ted Neward, and then have a full day of breakout sessions.

At this point, the call for speakers is now open. The deadline for submitting workshop topics is February 1, the deadline for breakout sessions is February 15.

Another change this year, also related to the workshops, is that we will be covering travel and expenses for our workshop speakers. So get those ideas in soon.

Finally, we'd really appreciate some help in getting the word out about the call for speakers. We have pretty good contacts in the Midwest, but since we're paying T&E for workshop speakers, our potential pool of speakers becomes much bigger. If you could forward this to any other great speakers you might know, we'd certainly appreciate it.

Here is the speaker submission page:

I can't wait to see what awesome topics you submit this year - I hope you are able to be a part Nerbaska Code Camp. Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions.

Thanks
