OpenPublish in the UK

JonR's picture

I work for a mid-sized UK publisher wanting to move from a proprietary CMS to OpenPublish. I am looking for a company - ideally in the UK - that can help us plan and execute this transition. All suggestions welcome.

I've posted in the OpenPublish group but realise that people here might also have advice to give

Hi,

We are a small Drupal team based in South West London, and specialise in Media websites. Please see theartsdesk.com as an example of our recent work. We are currently working with a major UK magazine publisher rebuilding a well-known classical music website, including the transfer of an in-house reviews database from a proprietary system containing some 150,000 items.

My personal background in digital publishing is over 12 years and we'd love to talk to you about your project.

Kind regards

Hi JonR

I think we'd be potentially a good fit for you - we're one of the UK's biggest Drupal shops (as http://deeson-online.co.uk) as well as being a publisher ourselves (mostly contract publishing, a range of titles and services, mostly for professional associations and membership organisations (as http://deeson-mc.co.uk - currently in a state of transition/rebranding but going since 1959).

And, even if we're not, I'd be fascinated to discuss your move to OpenPublish - as you can imagine, we've spent a good deal of time working out the details of going digital first and setting up digital publishing workflows for ourselves and for our clients.

I'm a Digital Strategist and work across Online and the main Deeson Group and my name is Simon Bostock - telephone 01227 468059 / via the contact form here:

Hope to catch up with you at some point!
