10 staging sites for drupal.org theme developer now available
Hello, we now have 10 staging sites available to help with the Drupal.org redesign. Drupal.org is a complex site with many moving pieces, and it is very difficult to create a staging environment that replicates the content, files, and Solr integration that are critical in replicating Drupal.org.
Themers can now push a theme live to all 10 staging sites by checking their theme in the themes/sandbox/username/themename directory in SVN. Within 5 minutes your theme will be checked out to 10 staging sites. These sites are at: http://staging1.drupal.org through http://staging10.drupal.org. The web access username and password for these protected sites are: drupal and drupal.
Joel Farris has agreed to be the redesign infrastructure lead. If you have questions about pushing your theme live don't hesitate to track him down in #drupal-infrastructure. His IRC handle is Senpai.
If you do not have write access to the theme repository, and are actively contributing to theme development of Blue Cheese please contact myself or Joel Farris (Senpai).
If you are competent with hook_update() and/or the command line and want to help, we could use help in coding configuration changes to push to all 10 sites.
Thanks,
Kieran
