This is not a telecommuting job per se, but we will consider a 4-day per week telecommute/1 day in the office arrangement.
Schoolyard has built a web platform for independent schools in Drupal. We need a full-time client support rep to address post-launch service requests from roughly 40 school web clients across the US and around the world. Tasks typically include module upgrade and security patch installs, bug fixes (why doesn't the RSS feed work on our calendar?), sandbox deployment, UI modifications, ldap integration, enabling SSO solutions with third-party data systems, etc. In other words, we are looking for someone to address all of our client requirements post-launch that fall outside of the parameters of our back-end developers. Applicants for this position need to be very comfortable with HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Design, and Web Standards. General familiarity with LAMP installations, and either experienced with Drupal or a similar open web CMS with an eagerness to learn Drupal quickly. Insofar as the person in this position communicates directly with Directors of Communication and Directors of Technology within our client schools, a high level of competence with written and spoken English is mandatory. Schoolyard is located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island in a 180-year-old renovated mill building overlooking the Providence River. Our office climate is casual and our work eithic is serious. We work with really cool clients, as near as Newbury Street and as far away as Bangladesh.
