Sr. Web Developer | Electric Brain

Electric Brain is looking for a talented web developer with considerable experience working as a Drupal developer/programmer to join our team in Dongcheng, Dongguan. The position requires exceptional programming skills, problem solving abilities and a strong work ethic. Reporting to the Project Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for taking a web project from the development phase to the final product or in some cases for creating or customizing Drupal modules to integrate with other applications.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

• Working with a team (designers, creative director, project manager, and other developers) to create compelling and cutting edge web sites and web applications.
• Responsible for turning design and user interface mockups into functional web sites.
• Custom programming and web application development.
• Testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing client sites.

Requirements:

• Independence, willingness to learn and problem solving skills are a must.
• At least two years of related work experience/education.
• Must be able to handle a face paced work environment, deadlines, and new challenges.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.

Technical Skills:

• Significant experience with Drupal API, themes and assets.
• Proficient with handcoding HTML and tableless CSS.
• Advanced knowledge and implementation of W3C Web Standards
• Dynamic/Database Driven Development (PHP/MySQL).
• JavaScript, especially AJAX, is an asset.
• Macromedia Flash/Action Scripting is an asset.

Additional Skills:

• Joomla, WordPress, ExpressionEngine, Symfony and other Open Source CMSs
• ASP.net, ColdFusion, Ruby on Rails

Compensation:

Rates are competitive and are based on experience, abilities and education. Home based part time or full time contract work is most desired, but onsite opportunities are possible should we find the right candidate.
