Confusing edit options with content profile

Hi,

I've installed the Content Profile node and it causing me some confusion. I have the module activated and created a content type named "user profile". The "use this content as a content profile" IS checked.

1) I can now create fields in both the "profile" setting AND the content-type settings. Which should I be using. (I want ALL the fields exposed on registration.)

2) It seems very confusing for a user to edit their profile. We new have multiple tabs for "my account" and "user profile". Additionally, NEITHER shows the taxonomy terms selected upon registration. Only the Admin can see them by going to the edit content for the particular node. This seems really messy.

My goal is to make the seamless and easy for the user. Register, fill out some info and have your account active. Be able to go back and update your info easily.

Any advice?
