February's meetup saw a record turnout! At one point in the night we had nearly 25 Drupalers in attendance, consisting of a nice mix of a new new faces, some old faces we hadn't seen in a while, and the usual charDUG suspects.

Mark Bellaire got us started with a Calendar walkthrough, pointing out some of the interesting things that module can do. And Shrop talked for a bit about dd() from Devel. Most Drupal developers know and love dpm() but dd() is a lesser-known tool that can be equally as useful, especially in situations where dpm() just can't get it done.

Another major topic for the night was the forthcomming DrupalCamp Charlotte event. Southeast LinuxFest is scheduled for June 7-9. We are set to share some of those dates with SELF and have yet to begin preparations. Time to start! Weekly status meetings will begin on February 14th at 9:00pm in #chardug on the FreeNode IRC Network and will be heled every Thursday thereafter.

Everyone agreed that the first order of business needed to be getting the 2013 site up and running. Anyone willing to to lend a hand with putting up the site, or with any other aspect of the camp, is encouraged to hop in to #chardug and let us know. We will happily get volunteers an account on our charDUG projects site and get them started.

On March 16th, we are going to offer our free "Learn to Build a Website" (with Drupal) class. With the curriculum already in place and a succsessful first offering under our belts, this would not only be a great opportunity for people new to Drupal to come out and learn, but a stellar chance for those who know about Drupal, but looking to gain some training experience. After all, there's no better way to fully learn and understand a subject than to teach it to someone else! Any charDUGgers interested in helping with the training need only say so.
