Requirements for BeerPetitions.com Phase 2

Purpose:
To add new functionality and improve the current functionality of Beerpetitions.com - http://www.beerpetitions.com

History:
The site was built by http://www.wishbonemediaworks.com/ about 2 months ago. Their job was just to get us a basic site that works so a user can submit and sign petitions for beers at a specific location. They completed the site and are hosting our site on their rackspace servers. The site is built in drupal 6 I believe and is set up in a standard drupal modular way.

Goals of the site:
The goal of the site is to allow craft beer lovers to organize people with similar beer tastes to get the beers they want, where they want. It is currently very hard for an individual to influence the buying habits of a bar or liquor store and there are thousands of beers to potentially sell, so it is overwhelming for a bar or liquor store owner to decide what to carry. Our site hopes to fix this problem and be a bridge between the two.

What we need:

  1. make the location pages and petition pages more search engine friendly, with friendly URL's, titles, and meta descriptions - we are open for other suggestions as well
  2. add ability to create a state wide petition for a specific brewery (so there would be two types of petitions, one for a location, and one for a state)
  3. alter the top level navigation and front page design to include state petitions (we would spec out the layout for this)
  4. WYSIWIG editor on petition message/body
  5. when a person signs a petition, it prompts them to add others emails from their friends, which will send that particular petition to those email addresses with some message the person enters
  6. social media additions/integrations - how to extend the viral nature - like this - http://www.addthis.com/
  7. profile - show a list of all the petitions a person has created and signed
  8. http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/09/30/facebook-just-made-it-super-easy-to... - put in Facebook connect integration
  9. Fix the footer at the bottom of the site on pages not on the front page, right now it is not lining up, it was a few weeks ago, there must be some small piece of code not working.

Next steps if interested:
This should be a fairly easy and straight forward project. If you are interested, please send me a rough estimate of cost and timeline. If that is within our range, then I will send you log in information to the backend and FTP information so you can look under the hood and give us a more accurate estimation. I will say that we are looking for a long time developer relationship as the site's popularity grows.
