Hello mapping group. I was lucky enough to see the talk on mapping yesterday. So much info packed into an hour. I had a question I didn't get to ask that I was hoping to get some info on.
I am working on a project where I am allowing users to toggle layers on a map. I don't want to load all the layers unless the user is viewing them and am getting some of the layers from an external API. I was able to add a OpenLayers.Protocol.Script() to the Openlayers module to get around XSS error. This works great for putting all the points that the api returns on the map, but I would like to pass either the current users location or the bounding box to the API so just the relevant points are returned and added to the map. I am most familiar with Openlayers and like the control I have using the layer styles so I would like to stay in that realm, but if there is another way I'd like to hear that too. Have not had a chance to look at leaflet yet, does it give you as much control over styling of layers?

Thanks for any info,

Oh also client side geocoding was mentioned, are there any examples of doing this anywhere? Preferably alongside the geocoder module?
