Urban Insight ( www.urbaninsight.com ) plans, builds and operates successful websites using web content management systems, including Drupal. We are also the technical and editorial team behind the world's most popular urban planning website, Planetizen ( www.planetizen.com ), where we use the same technologies that we help our clients implement.

We're looking for a sharp Drupal Developer to work in our Los Angeles office as part of a team of highly-motivated Drupal developers to architect, develop, and support a growing number of interesting projects for a wide range of appreciative clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on web development experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of Drupal configuration and theming experience.
• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience required.
• Bachelor's degree (in any field).
• MySQL and PHP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with project team members and clients to develop an understanding of client requirements.
• Participate in the planning of Drupal websites.
• Install and configure Drupal and selected modules.
• Develop and implement Drupal themes.
• Manage and support existing Drupal websites.
• Contribue themes, bug fixes, and modules back to the Drupal project, where appropriate.
• Participate in all phases of Web application development projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Maintain current knowledge of project management methods, web technologies and languages through trade publications, seminars, training classes, and other information sources.
• Gain expert familiarity with Urban Insight's task tracking and time management systems.
