Tech Director-Washington, DC

THE COMPANY:
Multimedia firm offering broadcast and online video production, interactive development services, social media marketing, and media relations. The firm, based out of Washington, DC, works with leading non-profits, foundations and government agencies to deliver communications goals to diverse audiences around the world.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years' experience working in Web development, preferably in an agency environment. Are looking for candidates who have:

•Ability to lead a team of front- and back-end developers to produce large, complex data-driven Web sites and applications.

•Extensive project management experience with a proven track record of keeping projects on schedule and budget.

•Experience contracting and managing workflow for out-of-house staff and/or vendors.

•Ability to document scope and requirements, develop production schedules and budgets, and determine resource allocation.

•Ability to implement workflow processes (such as ticketing and version control) that maximizes efficiency for the development team.

•Top-notch written and verbal communication skills.

•Ability to present complex, highly-technical information to clients and non-technical people.

•Knowledge of Web standards and cutting edge technologies and strategies.

WILL GIVE PREFERENCE TO CANDIDATES WHO:

•Have front- and back-end development experience with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL.

•Have experience determining information architecture and developing wireframes.

•Have experience theming and developing sites that use Drupal, Expression Engine and/or WordPress.

•Have client services experience.

•Are passionate about open-source projects.

Bachelor's Degree Required
