Meetup? Tuesday, Nov 3rd - Raleigh
Hello all, my name is Ryan and I'm visiting your fair state from Orlando - I help run the Florida Drupal Group and my friends Mike, Andrew and I host the DrupalEasy Podcast.
I'm in town for a training gig, and I was wondering a few things:
- What is a good (local) place to get some food / microbrews / conversation? Must be local.
- Does anyone want to come with me?
If you do reply, I'd love an address or a Google Maps link - I'm pretty close to I-40 / 540 here, but I have a car, and I'd love to sample something local if anyone has a good suggestion.
You could use my contact form on G.D.O. or Twitter direct message me, @liberatr.

Hi Ryan, Any chance you guys
Hi Ryan,
Any chance you guys will still be in town tomorrow night? The Triangle Drupal Users' Group(http://groups.drupal.org/tridug) is having a meeting tomorrow night, would be awesome to see you guys there if you're in town.
As for tonight, if you're near the Airport, you might need to travel a bit to find a good local place (we're pretty saturated with chain joints around here). Some suggestions right off of 540 are...
Rudino's Rooftop - Sports Bar - Subs/Grinders & Beer
Carolina Ale House a chain, but local (even though I think there's one or two locations in Florida) - Sports Bar again, but better food, more beer choices, with Pool tables (big Hockey place).
If you want to go to Downtown Raleigh, try out...
Mellow Mushroom - Pizza and Beer
Boylan Bridge Brewpub - Craft Beer & non-bar food
Poole's Diner - not really a diner anymore, but they kept the name. Raleigh's culinary claim to fame and within walking distance to lots of downtown bars and nightlife.
Unfortunately, I have a family commitment tonight, otherwise I'd offer to show you guys around town. Hope you have a good time!

If you are looking to make a night of it, you're best off hitting up downtown Raleigh.
Best Pizza in town, Lily's - http://www.lillyspizza.com/
Best Beer joint, The Flying Saucer - http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/raleigh
Hope you're around tomorrow night for TriDUG Meetup!
THANKS!
I ended up taking your many many suggestions to one of the employees at the hotel, and he had an emphatic review for the Flying Saucer. I hopped in the car with 2 of the other guys from the training and we had a great time.
Sheena,
Sadly my flight leaves at 8PM tonight, so I can't make it to the triDUG. I wish I had asked you guys about this a few weeks back when I booked my flight...!
Here's hoping that my client asks me to come back for more training soon.
If you know of people who are looking for training up here, have them give us a call!

That was a long drive ... think it was close to $50 in gas round trip.
Sorry you couldn't make it, we could have had two people from out of town there!
Yeah, thanks for driving so
Yeah, thanks for driving so far, Steve! It's really great to see some fresh faces at the meetings.
