We are looking for a Bay Area or Pennsylvania/Ohio based developer with experience in Drupal and PHP to help build out the community and website for a newly emerging 3D game development platform. This is a community-based website that connects independent developers and gives them access to a powerful cloud based 3D game engine for the web. The vision for the company is something very new in gaming and you can join us in shaping the web experience and developing this online community. This is a full time contract position with the possibility of full-time employment.

The base website is currently in design and we need someone to work alongside our design team who has solid Drupal experience and will be able to architect and implement the new design, brainstorm additional functionality, optimize the site, work through usability issues and design for scalability. This is not a job of configuring Drupal modules, themes, etc. We need someone with PHP and other skills to be involved with creating modules, custom actions, modifying themes, manipulating CSS and HTML, working with users, etc. If you do not have such experience, then please do not apply.

Requirements:
* An entrepreneurial attitude
* Three years or greater experience programming with Drupal and PHP
* One year or greater programming JavaScript
* Substantial experience with Drupal 6
* Facile with various methods of multi-site configuration
* Experience with the Services module as it pertains to Flash communication (AMFPHP)
* Experience with MySQL data import and export from and to multiple sources/configurations
* Adherence to Drupal best practices for module and theme development
* Familiarity with best-of-breed Drupal modules for effective, efficient, flexible development
* Use of jQuery library for theme-specific interactivity
* Hands-on knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, DHTML, AJAX, and XML
* Drupal module development experience (contribution to the community is a major plus)
* A demonstrated ability to implement end-to-end custom Drupal sites
* Knowledge of developing cross platform/browser compatibility in all A-Grade Browsers
* Strong organizational and management, time management skills and attention to detail
* Proven commitment and follow-through on projects
* Excellent communication skills
* Can work independently

This position is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced company that is set to really change the dynamics in a hot industry. Ideally, you would be available 40 hours a week. You should live in the Bay Area or in the PA/Ohio area. Work location is negotiable, there will likely be a combination of remote and in-person meetings. We will consider exceptional candidates who live elsewhere (US is preferred) working 100% remotely.
