SUMMARY
Trico Graphics of Chicago, IL is accepting immediate proposals to develop an Association web site using Drupal. This will be a concept to completion production assignment. Interested individuals or parties please contact Trico immediately. This is definitely a time sensitive proposal.
Telecommute is fine, Chicago area developer preferred. In person meeting with Trico and client may occur.
The existing association web site was originally designed and produced in early 2000s. The site is maintained with in-house client resources. Existing content requires MAJOR overhaul.
Proposal is open to any individual or business capable of fulfilling the requirements stated below.

PURPOSE
The Association currently has a web presence that is somewhat outdated in appearance, structure and in the presentation of content. An opportunity exists to reengineer the site to better reflect the mission of the Association and incorporate the latest web technology and compliance. Upon completion of the development of the site, the Association will assume full responsibility for web site content maintenance and administration. All content, coding and graphics will become the sole property of the Association.
DESCRIPTION
Create a CMS using Drupal that can deliver large amounts of constantly changing information to the Associations key audiences. Allows key management personnel to easily update content without directly accessing source code. Multiple login levels (e.g. anonymous, member, paid member, author, reviewer/editor, publisher). Conversion of existing flat files (htm, doc, excel, ppt) to template driven page files.
To be effective...Drupal CMS must support these requests through a module or through custom coding:
- Calendar Events (Past, Future)
- Document (pdf, ppt, doc, txt, mov, mp3) file uploading linked to authored content.
- Member Profile editing (member image, password change, email change, etc.)
- Subscription to content changes by way of RSS or EMAIL notifications.
- Taxonomy based on existing content (Newsletters, minutes, other records).
- Image Gallery (Thumbnail, Full-size)
- FAQ/Knowledge Base (With ability to notify subscribed users of changed content through an email notification).
- *Member DB (Open for full migration to Drupal CMS).

Association membership director has an Access DB with data they do not wish to have online, therefore, they want to upload the selected member info each month. We will need a routine to facilitate this (not a sync, but either changed data or a fresh upload each time).
THEME
Design elements to be provided by Trico after wireframe stage. An existing theme can be used but prefer ZEN or 960 based theme. No Drupal theme defaults please.
CREEP FEATURE(s)
Membership dues are handled offline, but we would like to break out the cost to add a module for this kind of limited commerce for dues and event registration.
It has been requested to price the ability to push some automatic emails to users – such as renewal applications, new uploads, or perhaps the links to those documents. Can this be done so that when certain updates take place, the interested user group receives notification?
