What you get to do every day
• Build multi-tiered enterprise systems and web services for leading-edge interactive applications for the web and other connected devices, employing the latest technologies in online, enterprise, and gaming software
• Full-cycle software development, including analysis, design, programming, integration and testing, and product release
• Collaborate with technical and production staff to develop technical requirements and designs to deliver a complete multi-client service, publishing platform, and world-class games
• Develop and maintain enterprise web services, application servers, database applications, application frameworks, and tools that comprise the Trion web platform focusing on the server-side but will require involvement in the full application and data stack
• Integrate connected-client applications and game services with the web platform to deliver complete applications and features
• Optimize application performance for high load, high concurrency environments
• Develop software prototypes, evaluate emerging software technologies, and evaluate third party solutions
• Establish and promote software engineering best practices
What you bring to the job in your professional toolkit
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and a minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering with 3 of them (minimum) developing web and multi-tiered enterprise software
• Hands on experience with OOAD, debugging, testing, web services, application servers, enterprise systems architecture, databases, and web servers
• Skills with performance analysis and tuning, quality of service, and scalability
• Expertise with Java or C++, XML, J2EE, Ruby on Rails, and web frameworks
• Familiarity with software development processes and the software product lifecycle
• Preferred familiarity with consumer-facing application development and software localization
• Able to work in a team to rapidly produce prototypes and iterations
• Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
• Great communication skills both written and verbal
• Can work cross functionally in many areas without being constrained by your job function
• Collaborative, upbeat, work ethic where you can take ownership and have fun
• Passion for creating great software
