10-11 am: CSS and HTML in Drupal Pages

Basic CSS and HTML for novice users - no previous website development experience required. This presentation is geared toward Drupal site content editors and anyone who wants to learn basic concepts of creating a webpage.
We will cover:
- Overview of CSS and HTML and how they work in Drupal
- Creating a simple webpage using a plain text editor.
- Adding inline CSS to an HTML page.
- Editing the HTML of a Drupal page in plain text mode.
- Using rich text editors (FCKeditor and TinyMCE) in Drupal
Specific topics include:
- Semantic markup (headers, paragraphs, lists, etc.)
- Formatting text (bold, underline, italics, etc.)
- Headers, Paragraphs, Single Line Breaks
- Bulleted Lists (unordered and ordered)
- Blockquotes
- Hyperlinks
- Images
- Tables
- Page anchors
- Using Drupal's built-in "expanding sections" javascript
11-12 pm: Networking
WHAT'S THE DUG?
The ASU Drupal Users Group meets the fourth Thursday of the month in CPCOM 120 and is a great way to meet other ASU Drupaliers, get help, and find training and resources. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to seasoned Drupaliers. You do not have to be affiliated with ASU to attend this free event.
