and I'll be happy to share them with you.
Newbie Questions
I've got my site marketanomaly.com ported from WordPress and setup in Drupal. My main reason for moving the site to Drupal is that I am changing the site from a blog to a business site, which may also have a blog, podcasts, forum, etc.. Drupal is clearly a much more powerful tool for building out a full scale website.
Here are a few questions I would like to cover:
What theme is easiest to mod?
Is there a good theme specifically designed to build on, a wireframe theme?
Must have modules?
How to get redirects working properly with wp2drupal?
Any suggestions on the best pretty url structure for a website?
I've also got some general administration, security, and site architecture questions.
On the business side, I'm starting a Marketing/PR consulting business and I would like to work with a developer to execute client websites.
Maybe work on Captcha module
Captcha currently has no working 5-0 branch (see security hole notice if you're using it)
We should probably do something about that.
I'll try to get a decent start before Tuesday nght - but may call on some of the Big Guns at the meetup to help finish this thing off. Then in my standard tradition will pawn maintainership off on some poor unsuspecting-yet-eager newbie.

I think I'll be there!
For the NYC n00bs, what is MNN? :)
Shameless self promotion
MNN.. you don't know about MNN?
aaah.. well. Here goes.....
MNN = Manhattan Neighborhood Network
If you live in Manhattan you can watch these four WONDERFUL channels on Time Warner Cable 34, 56, 57, 67 or on RCN 82,83,84,85. MNN is one of New York's Public Cable Access channels and is a free service to all of those that live within Manhattan.
If you have ever wanted to be on TV MNN is the place to be (lame rhyme intended).
MNN will provide you with the training, equipment, studios and air time you need to produce your show and then we'll cablecast it to over 750,000 households in Manhattan, for free
MNN airs informative shows like Democracy Now (Grassroots News), INN World Report, Mosiac TV (news from Middle east), and Gay USA (LGBT News)
OR
shows likes Youth Channel (produced solely by those 25 and under)
OR
shows like Ghettonomics, The resident or Bike TV
20 hours a day, 7 days of week of original programming!
Ok that was totally spam.. but come'on its MNN, you should tune in! (again another cheesy rhyme)
I updated the original meetup post with the address and directions ;)

Wow, sounds cool!
Sadly, we are only in NYC off-and-on for the summer and have no TV in our apartment. :(
Anyway, add1sun and I will see you all tonight! :D
May not make it -- friend in
May not make it -- friend in from out of town and the Girl wants to go to an auction supporting BARC tomorrow...
I would like to come
I have only been using drupal for a few weeks now; however would it be possible to just hang out and listen in?
Sure...
It is not the largest room where the group meets so you may not be able to hide completely...But in the end Jacob, myself and Sam all talk alot. :)
Robbie(TheGeek)
I'm hoping to make it
I'm hoping to make it but it depends on how well Verizon does in pretending to fix my DSL line tomorrow. But being Verizon its up in the air what will actually happen.
I will be there
I am planning to come. At some point I'd like to learn about views, if that isn't too elementary for the rest of you. How late do the meetups usually run? I will need to leave by 9ish.
To other newbies - I did find the last meetup worthwhile even if I was just pleased I could follow most of the discussion!

I'm In
Haven't been to one of these for a while, been too busy working on my site latelt. So I thought I'd come and join the fun!
Views would be a good topic.
I'd like to learn more about the Views module also.
I'll be there with a guest
I'm bringing my 14 yo son, but we're still both newbies.
