Largest drupal membership base in the Caribbean

According to this link we have the largest membership base in the Caribbean (at the time of writing, 11). The closest is Jamaica with 7 members. I would love to have Drupal meetups here in Trinidad and Tobago but would that make sense given our small numbers? If 1 person turned up and we shared knowledge, I'd still love that!

TTLUG Tech Meeting

Hey, I thought some of you who are not already members of the TTLUG might be interested in joining this virtual meeting.

The Trinidad and Tobago Linux Users Group (TTLUG) will be having a tech virtual meeting.

Agenda: This meeting is open to anyone interested in discussing potential features and thrashing out ideas for the re-vamping of the TTLUG's website. We will be discussing why (or why not) Drupal can be used instead of a wiki. A Drupal proto-type website will be set up to demonstrate some of Drupal's strong hold features.

Joining us at this meeting will be Tony Zielinski a web developer utilizing Drupal for practical small business websites. He will be joining us from Portland OR. He will be lurking to answer any technical Drupal questions that may elude me. He also has some Drupal websites with LUG-like features that he can demo at the end if there is enough interest. (His IRC nick is webavant). Thanks to Mr. Zielinski for allowing us to use his screen cast services.

How to join: We will be using IRC and skype to hold this meeting.

From there you can view the live screen cast where I will demo the proto-type. Also right at that web page you can join in through your browser in the IRC chat room.

The "Join Skypecast" link will only become active at exactly 8pm. So make sure you have skype running in the background before clicking on "Join".

For those that cannot join via skypecast, you have the option of IRC where you can post comments/issues and also there is an audio flash to the bottom right of the page where you can listen in live. Sometimes you may have to click on "stop/pause" and then "play" repeatedly to get it to work.

PLEASE NOTE: if you join us via skypecast, please either use a headset or click on "stop" on the audio panel to the bottom right of the page. If you do not do this, there will be continuous feedback!!
