General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Sr Drupal Developer for work at Ft Lewis, WA.

Position Overview
General Dynamics Information Technology's Health Services Group has won a large military health contract co-located in Seattle, WA and Washington, D.C. This contract supports the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE for PH&TBI), Telehealth & Technology Directorate centered at Ft. Lewis, with an office in Silver Spring. There is an immediate requirement for a Senior Drupal Developer to participate in the development of web applications for the enterprise.

Essential Job Functions
• Participate in all aspects of developing Drupal web applications using agile/scrum methodologies.
• Communicate effectively with technical team members as well as business subject matter experts.
• Mentor junior developers.
• Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

Requirements
• Four year college degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline
• Past experience with agile/scrum is helpful.
• Expert in web development using Drupal, PHP and jQuery/Ajax (at least 5 years).
• Experience with other languages such as C++ and/or C# and Java/J2EE is also helpful.
• Competence with a wide range of web development technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSLT, JSP/Servlets) and frameworks (Drupal, Spring, Struts).
• Strong relational database experience.
• Experience with data access technologies such as Hibernate, JDO, SQL Maps, etc. is helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to mentor junior developers.

Other Skills/Abilities
• Should have the ability to get up to speed on new technologies and APIs quickly.
• Should be self-motivated and have the ability to break through technological hurdles with minimal supervision.
