Registration is NOW OPEN at http://drupalcampct.org! Session proposals too!
We are excited to announce the very first DrupalCampCT to be held at Yale University in New Haven, CT on Saturday, August 28, 2010 - a full day, NO COST event including knowledgeable speakers, informative workshops, birds-of-a-feather sessions and invaluable opportunities to network with other Drupalists in and around the Nutmeg State.
There is a lot to be decided but the date is set and the location is set... so mark your calendars and plan to contribute and plan to join us at what promises to be an educational, fun and memorable event.
We will shortly be seeking proposals for speakers, workshops and birds-of-a-feather sessions, help with organization of the conference, and individual and corporate sponsors, as well as general suggestions for DrupalCampCT 2010 at a soon-to-be-announced conference website.

I'll be there!
Looking forward to seeing friends at Yale. Let me know if you have any questions from running Drupal Design Camp Boston at MIT.

Lodging?
Can someone suggest lodging ideas that's safe and close to the venue?

Lodging
Hi Susan, here is a list of hotels in the area. My brother stayed at the Study at Yale last time he was here and liked it. The Omni is also right downtown near a lot of shops and restaurants, and old campus.

I don't think we're doing signups on groups.drupal.org
I may be wrong about that - double checking. So please be aware that this may not be the official sign up list and you may need to sign up AGAIN when we have an official signup page.
The signup list has been removed...
At least on this page. I thought that at one point I saw a post for this event on a page on Home >> Groups >> Boston.
Curious, why aren't we doing signups on groups.drupal.org? Will you be advising those who have signed up how to signup?
Yes we did remove it. We will
Yes we did remove it.
We will be working on something different and will be sure to inform everyone.
If you can, please credit those who have signed up...
This could go to waiting-list status very quickly.
Greatly appreciate it if you'd either notify those of us who have already signed up in some way that will give us an opportunity to sign-up before the event fills up.
If it's a no charge event, please just sign me up with whatever non-drupal-organization signup system you're planning on using and notify me that you've signed me up - others may appreciate that as well.
Also, noticed a few minutes ago that there was still a ghost version of this page with >>Boston >> up top - I'm not sure which of these I would have signed up on originally.
Thx. for getting back quickly.
Looking forward to it
Thanks for bringing the camp to New Haven!
Great
is there a list we can sign up for to be notified or is this the list ( -:

An update on DrupalCampCT
We have made great progress towards the organization of DrupalCampCT at Luce Hall, Yale University in New Haven, CT on August 28, 2010.
Over 125 attendees have registered for the event. Fewer than 50 tickets remain and are slowly but steadily being claimed. If you plan on attending, be sure to register if you have not already done so, and be sure to spread the word to collegues and organizations who have an interest in Drupal.
We are grateful to many sponsors who have generously offered financial support towards covering the costs of DrupalCampCT and door prizes which we will be giving away. As organizers, we have gained new perspectives on the strength and passion within the Drupal community.
We have our own evolving website where details of DrupalCampCT are announced. We're still looking for a fresh and updated logo designfrom a talented designer in the community.
DrupalCampCT registrants have suggested many great ideas and submitted many great session proposals towards creating an outstanding program but we are eager for more!
If there is something you would like to learn about Drupal, suggest your idea as a session in our program.
If you have experience and expertise of value to other Drupalists, propose a session you would like to lead in our program.
You need not be an expert Drupalist to enjoy, take away something valuable, or even to lead a session at DrupalCampCT. We expect attendees to be a mix of experienced Drupalists and newcomers to Drupal; developers, themers, content managers and project leaders; and consultants, corporate professionals and academics. Everyone's perspective offers insights that can be appreciated by others.
Join us and help us to make our first DrupalCampCT a great success!

But of course.
Looking forward to it.
Carpooling from Boston - and to New York!
Is anyone traveling from Boston (or a bit farther West– i'm in Natick, Massachusetts) to the camp?
And then is anyone traveling from the camp to NYC? I could in fact offer a ride on both of those legs, but since my travel plans are the whacky ones i was hoping to catch rides from a couple people.
Thanks!
benjamin, agaric
I have a similar question.
I have a similar question. Who will go to Camp from NY by car and who have a free seat? Take me with you, plz)
Carpooling from Albany
I am driving from Albany and I am happy to give a free ride to Camp @ Yale.
Drupal Camp Connecticut 2010 was just fantastic!
Drupal Camp Connecticut 2010 was just fantastic!
We thank our sponsors, our hosts, our presenters, our volunteers and our attendees for coming together to create an exciting, informative and inspiring event: 17 interesting and informative presentations, an excellent keynote presentation, a code-a-thon that began the creation of a pro-bono non-profit website, a great venue, lots of food, a whole bunch of door prizes, and a very enthusiastic crowd of experienced and beginning Drupalists. We're fortunate not only to be working with a fantastic open-source content management system but also to be working within a passionate and very highly-skilled community.
We hope you'll bring your enthusiasm and new-found knowledge to your Drupal projects and to existing and forming Drupal Meetups across Connecticut and neighboring states.
Thank you for your participation. We hope to see you all at our next Drupal Camp Connecticut in 2011 if not sooner!
