There's a weekly Miami Web Development meetup downtown across from Bayside, of you're interested. You can get more details at http://fsf.meetup.com/28/. The next one is this Saturday the 9th at 2.

I'm sure we could get the organizer to let us focus on Drupal for one week a month., if we show enough interest.

I prefer going with an existing meetup because it takes the pressure off us to find a venue and get a quorum together just for Drupal :-)

I am very new to Drupal and I see the power of the product but am still finding it very frustrating in many ways. I would love to get involved with a local group if I can. I am willing to hire people to help me learn the system. Unfortunately, I travel much of the time but want to be on the list because if I'm in town, I'll be at a local meeting. I live in Delray Beach but will drive to Miami for good information. Thank you.

Although Miami is 80 miles away, I'm impressed that you'd be willing to do the drive. I'm going to start a separate thread for Drupal training opportunities, because you're probably not the only one interested.
