This wiki page can be used to discuss additional aspects of ownership, or different situations around how ownership impacts the operations of a Drupal Cooperative and how members relate to each other and the organization.

Quick Overview of Ownership/Membership in a Cooperative
The members of a cooperative own the cooperative. If the cooperative is made up of members who are workers, then those workers own the cooperative.

The purpose of a cooperative is to serve the needs of its members. A cooperative is run democratically, so every member has a say in what services the cooperative provides.

If a Drupal Worker Cooperative's members own the cooperative, and decide what services get offered, they also get to decide how those services are managed, who will be able to use them and how, as well as how much it might cost to be a member of the cooperative. There are others, but these are the main tasks and responsibilities associated with ownership, along with the usual responsibilities like filing taxes and managing accounting.

The Rights and Responsibilities of Membership is a common name for the type of document that a cooperative makes that outlines what and how a member participates in the management and governance of a cooperative. See some ideas for a Drupal Cooperative Rights and Responsibilities of Membership agreement.
