SOOMPI.com is a fast growing, young and fresh online community for Asian Americans. Originally started as an Asian pop entertainment site, SOOMPI has grown into one of the largest social networks for Asian Americans with over a quarter million members and one of the larger sites based on Drupal. We are a small, energetic company where each employee is considered a major team player - your input will be expected and appreciated:) We are looking for a go-getter that is comfortable in a start-up environment and thrives when given independence and autonomy.
What would you do?
- Front-end coding using PHP Template engine along with AJAX/JQuery, CSS, and Flash
- Produce user interface design that is easy to use for community members to use
- Test UI to work across all major browsers (PC: IE6, IE7, Firefox 2; Mac: Safari 2, Firefox 2)
Who are you?
- Just awesome. And you are a motivated person who is excited to work for a rapidly growing, promising start-up
- Comfortable working in fast paced environment
- 1+ years experience with Drupal Theming experience
- Proficient with AJAX/JQuery, JavaScript PHP, and CSS and how they work together
- Strong UI design skills
- Flash and graphic design experience is a plus
We would prefer for you to be located either in the Bay Area or the LA/OC area, however, we will be flexible for the right person. We currently have people in Irvine, San Francisco and New York.
