Web Developer | Cypress Interactive

Cypress Interactive is looking for a hardworking utility player with hands-on scripting, HTML experience and a strong sense of clean design. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create web content independently often from pre-developed designs produced by a graphic artist. This position requires strong web production and design skills, technical savvy and great attention to detail.

The successful applicant will also possess:

• A BA/BS or equivalent experience
• Strong communication skills
• An ability to work collaboratively
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux, Windows environments, Apache and IIS
• The ability to use version control systems (Subversion) in tandem
  with other programmers
• Excellent grasp of programming fundamentals, PHP, at least one other
  scripting/programming language
• Experience working with SQL databases is an asset
• The ability to learn new techniques as required
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and other commonly used W3C recommendations
  (a portfolio of work is preferred)
• Demonstrated experience producing templates for content management
  systems and web applications based on the model-view-controller pattern
• Prior experience with the Drupal CMS is a must as is familiarity with its
  API and the ability to implement and customize functionality using
  existing modules as well as build new ones as required
• Keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of website design
  best practices
• Fluency in English required
