Senior Web Developer - Vancouver | Six Degrees Recruitment

Based in downtown Vancouver, our client is a dynamic new-media company focused on building web applications that create engaging on-line communities.

Currently a team of 9 they expect to double their headcount this year and getting the right 'Fit' is critical. They are seeking someone who is passionate about open source development, has a great sense of humour, is easy going and can meet a challenge head on. They are all intensely committed to what they do and expect the same from anyone who joins them.

You should be an outstanding Web Developer, someone who can create clean, semantically rich CSS and XHTML code and who has intimate knowledge of cross-platform, cross-browser development. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to create standards-compliant web pages from design layouts utilizing leading edge web technologies. Ideally you will also be able to showcase your in-depth knowledge of Drupal as an application framework, AJAX and javascript

Requirements
3+ years experience implementing web design
Expertise with hand-coded xHTML/CSS
Ability to create valid, table-less layouts using CSS
Solid cross-platform and cross-browser development experience
Strong understanding of Web Accessibility and Standards
PHP & mySQL
Experience with Drupal
JavaScript/DOM/AJAX
Flash experience a nice to have
