Looking for a adventurous unique individual to work a 6 month contract leading a small team of developers in Beijing China in our permanent China office beginning this September after the 2008 Olympics. Being from the Austin area is desirable, where our headquarters is located to facilitate communications plus we all know the Austin developers are the best! Or, if you are located in Beijing now with significant Drupal experience we have an excellent opportunity for your consideration.

Our objective is to completely revise the existing websites including www.obgyn.net and www.china-obgyn.net as a highly automated health2.0 platform for the worldwide community of obstetricians, gynecologists and other women health providers. We wish to transition from primarily ourselves as the publisher to the community itself as its own publisher. Includes rich media uploads such as surgical video, synchronized powerpoint with audio, medical images, jobs, press releases, collaboration technologies, virtual vendor booths, annotated journal reviews, worldwide calendar, and so forth. The platform will be initially offered in Chinese and English followed by other translations. Additional medical specialties will be developed by ourselves or others starting in 2009.

We are a small self-funded company so some flexibility in compensation will be required. Other compensation benefits may be provided. Once the 6 month period is complete this job could continue on a parttime or telecommute basis.
