Our client is a media and publishing company focusing in B2B magazines and event management . This position will be a part of the Web Development team, and be responsible for development on websites owned by client.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with requirements gathering, analysis and design
- Act as a key member of the development team for front-end activities for multiple projects.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
- Development using PHP (PHP5 preferred) on LAMP stack.
- Coordinate with other developers to work in a collaborative manner
- Ability to work with internal and vendors/consultants
- Communicate project status, issues, and progress
- Maintain stake-holders relations
Skills and Requirements
- Must have at least two years experience
- Experience building large, consumer-facing web site
- Strong experience in PHP, LAMP stack, scalability, AJAX. Nice to have includes JQuery, CSS, Java, and database design/development.
- Experience and understanding of technology related to analytics, advertising, SEO, and usability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide thought leadership in technology and design
- Experience with frameworks such as MVC, Drupal, Kohana, CakePHP, and Joomla
- Experience with sound development practices such as source control, unit test, continuous integration, and code reviews
- BA/BS degree in Design, Computer Science or equivalent experience
