Looking to get a Louisiana Drupal meetup going, even if it's only just 2 or 3 of us to start (this is how Drupal Atlanta started).
How about once a month on Thursday nights to start with. Who's in for Thursday, Nov. 4 in Baton Rouge? Once we have a couple of people interested we can choose a location.

I am up fro New Orleans meet up
Baton Rouge would be difficult for me but I am up for New Orleans almost any time. I can offer a meeting place at my apt complex. There are meeting rooms with free wi-fi. The Saulet is located just off freeway near Mississippi bridge on Annunciation.

Locations
First thought on locations was maybe the bluebonnet or goodwood library, but it has been so long since i have been to either i don't know the accommodations. I do have a small conference table for 4-5 people at my office. It is nothing nice but it could work for a small group.

Thursday night not too good for me
Weekends are easier for travel. Sorry to say I may have to pass on first meeting. I'll be hoping you get off to good start. We can use it in this area. I'm tired of feeling we live in a digital backwater.
My areas of interest:
Extending Drupal skills.
Helping one another find work, solve problems, support ideas.
New business formation - entrepreneurial ideas, collective participation.
Grow group through activity
iPhone and mobile - currently teaching myself iPhone development.
Media and publishing.
I have some good experience in some of the above notably owned publishing business in San Francisco for 20 years - published Mac Home Journal among others.
Thanks for getting this started. I'll be able to participate later. Try to have meetings requiring travel on Sat.
