While theming and developing today I switched from Firefox to Internet Explorer and found that my site had no styles! Ahhh! To save you from possible headaches, here's my finding: IE limits Drupal to 31 stylesheets total. The work-around for the bug is to enable CSS aggregation.

Many modules have their own stylesheets, so when you get to a certain number of modules, plus have your own custom theme, you reach a point like I did today where you pass the threshold. Hope this helps someone!!

I'm in town for a training gig, and I was wondering a few things:

1. What is a good (local) place to get some food / microbrews / conversation? Must be local.
2. Does anyone want to come with me?

Instead of actually accomplishing things the past week I've been trying to debug... Drupal, my install, MySQL. I literally spend ALL day working (not for pay) on this.

Cron will not run. It fails indefinitely.
I finally got one install (I duplicated my site on another server, with the same error) to work by uninstalling getID module. So I go to the other install and do the same thing, nothing.

Hi folks, I'm wondering if you have any suggestions because we're at the end of our rope! The web site I manage has been hit with a flood of new user registrations that are NOT people authentically trying to join our community. Since this started on October 1st, we have been getting approximately 10 new users per hour, 24-7. The IP addresses are almost always unique and the profile information is different each time, sometimes with spammy links, sometimes not.

I just completed an upgrade from Drupal 5 with CiviCRM 2.0 to Drupal 6 with CiviCRM 2.2 on a site with multisite hosting. Perhaps my experiences will help someone else.

I lack sysadmin skills but can use basic UNIX commands and copy and paste MySQL and php. In most cases, Google helped when I got stuck.

I have two installations:

(1) test.nccommunities.org where folks learn how things work, test upgrades, and try out new modules. The site also offers CiviCRM with sample data for people to explore.

(2) nccommunities.org which has seven additional sites running under it.

Hope this isn't politically incorrect. I'm planning a Drupal site for a film I will be marketing in a few months. I'm currently hosted (multiple simple HTML-CSS sites) at Godaddy as a simple "shared" site on Linux. I'm concerned that if I start to have success in the form of 20 to 120 people a day creating logins, logging in to comment, upload pictures, etc., that my current hosting will become a huge performance bottleneck. Moving to the dedicated hosting or the virtual dedicated hosting is expensive (for me) but might be a necessity.

Experienced Drupal developer required to migrate our existing (very simple) custom cms over to Drupal 6, and add some basic functionality. This is a one-time contract, but depending on the quality of the work, may develop into constant ongoing project work. The position is available now, with the successful applicant starting immediately.

Skills Required:

• Experience in setting up Drupal 6 for high traffic, high user & feature rich environments
• Experience in Drupal 6 templating
• Strong LAMP knowledge
• Strong CSS/HTML knowledge
