We are Zinch.com, the leading online social network that connects students with schools and scholarships. We are looking for a great Drupal themer. We have 8 developers who can create modules, but no one is good at themes. Most pages have been designed in Photoshop already, so we really need someone who can write HTML, CSS and integrate with Drupal hooks (as opposed to a great visual designer who works mostly in Photoshop). You also need to love teaching other people how to be great themers, since part of this project is transferring skills.

using xampp without drupal
I'm using Drupal in xampp on my local windows machine as a test/learning area. I am currently learning php outside of drupal and would like to use the same installation of xampp to test it. I added the test (non-drupal) directory under the htdocs directory, but when I try to access it using http://localhost/mytestdir, it defaults to the drupal framework. I've searched the web, but can't find the secret. Can anybody tell me how I can use xampp without it defaulting to drupal?
thanks in advance,
Debby

This document is meant to lay out the general responsibilities and guidelines regarding the chair of the Sacramento Drupal User Group. The information was originally compiled by Caleb Gilbert and Shawn DeArmond, but will likely be fine-tuned as the process evolves. This document will also list the past and future chairs as they come and go.

As discussed last night at the DUG meeting - is anyone in the Sacramento area interested in setting up a beginner's workgroup? The idea came up because there are so many questions when you're new to Drupal, and sometimes there just isn't enough time in the presentations to get them all answered.
If so, post your ideas as comments and we'll see if we can get something moving. The most convenient time for me would be on Tuesday or Friday evenings, but there is no reason it has to be scheduled around me ... we just need to get it facilitated if we have enough interest.
